Love Food Hate Waste and win

Residents in Warwickshire are being urged to complete a new survey to try and prevent the hundreds of pounds in food thrown away by every household each year.

Research has revealed that 8.3 million tonnes of food is thrown away in the UK every year, costing the average family with children more than £680 per year.

The Warwickshire Waste Partnership is keen to help residents waste less and save more by planning meals, reducing portion sizes, freezing leftovers and much more.

They have 20 goody bags up for grabs upon completion of a Love Food Hate Waste Survey. To be in with a chance of winning, simply visit http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/lovefoodhatewaste and enter the short on-line survey which should take no more than two minutes to complete.

Each goody bag will contain an Apron, Recipe book, bag clip, spaghetti measure, trolley coin keyring, shopping list and fridge thermometer, all presented in a jute bag.

Winners will be picked at random. The competition closes Sunday, 21 March 2010.
