Response to severe weather in spotlight

People living in rural villages to the west of Warwick are invited to air any concerns resulting from the recent severe weather at the Warwick Rural West Community Forum, which is being held on 29th April 2010 at 7.30pm, at Norton Lindsey Village Hall.

The main focus of the meeting will be public issues relating to road gritting, school closures, and potholes caused by severe weather conditions.

A panel of responsible officers from Warwickshire County Council will be at the meeting to explain how their services operate and to listen to your issues and concerns.

Sergeant Gary Holtby, Team Leader for Warwick Rural West Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “Residents’ attendance at forums is essential to their success. If you tell us what your local community concerns are, we will make it our priority to deal with those issues.”

The next step will be for officers to take back the issues voiced at the Forum. Everyone is welcome to come along and contribute their thoughts and ideas.

If you would like more information about the Community Forum, or would like to be added to the e-mailing list, please contact Jane Coates in the Community Partnership Team on 01926 456103 or at warwick@warwickshire.gov.uk.
