Keeping it real with nappies
Warwickshire’s parents are being urged to keep it real when it come to nappies, and try out a more environmentally friendly option.
Modern cotton nappies are no longer about Terry squares and nappy pins, they are shaped and come in a variety of funky colours are surprisingly soft and do not contain chemicals. They are easy to use and will not only save money, but will help the environment.
During Real Nappy Week 2010, which gets underway on Monday, Warwickshire Waste Partnership is encouraging residents to think about using Cotton Nappies rather than disposables by supporting a network of coffee mornings, known as Nappuccinos.
These ‘Nappuccinos’ are held around the county and designed to give parents the opportunity to touch and feel the different types of nappies themselves, they are free to attend and there’s no need to book. For even more savings, purchases made at nappuccinos are subject to 10% discount.
