New support group for LGBT young people in Warwickshire

Warwickshire’s Youth and Community Service is launching a new county-wide support group for young people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual or Transgender (LGBT).

‘Mojo’ was set up after focus groups identified a gap in the provision of services for young people who were LGBT. Regular workshops and activities run by two dedicated youth workers will be held twice a week during the evening.

The group is open to young people under 25-years-old and is free to join, with sessions held at various locations around the county.

Craig Tipper, Youth Worker with Warwickshire County Council’s Youth and Community Service, said: “Mojo offers LGBT young people on-going support and guidance on a range of issues that may be affecting their lives in a relaxing and informal environment, so we’re really looking forward to starting this exciting project.”

For details of where sessions will be held contact Craig Tipper on 01926 498 088 or email craigtipper@warwickshire.gov.uk.
