Early birthday events at Bedworth Library
Bedworth Library will be 25 years old later this year but staff are starting the celebrations early, with a couple of special events to entertain adults and schoolchildren during the half term holiday.
On Tuesday June 1, there is an invitation to join local author Rosie Goodwin for a cuppa and a chat at 2.30 pm. This will interest readers who enjoy Catherine Cookson’s style, as Rosie Goodwin has written the sequels to the ‘Tilly Trotter’ and ‘Mallen’ books. The ‘Cup of Tea with Rosie Goodwin’ event is free and early booking is advised.
On Thursday June 3 at 2.30pm the library is hosting an event for five to 11-year-olds based on ever-popular ‘Horrid Henry’ books by Francesca Simon. Holiday horridness will include crafts, quizzes, puzzles and prizes. Tickets cost £2.50 and again booking is advisable.
