Policing arrangements for the Bulldog Bash - come and have your say
The next meeting of the Shipston and Stour Community Forum is on Tuesday 8 June starting at 7.00pm at Quinton and Admington Village Hall The Close, Lower Quinton, CV37 8SE.
The meeting is an opportunity for people who live in and around Shipston and Stour area to come along and join in the debate. The main issue for discussion on the night will be the arrangements for policing the Bulldog Bash.
Residents will have the chance to hear from Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland about the Police’s plans, and to pose their questions and concerns to him.
Also on the agenda is a local policing update with a particular focus on speeding and setting some new community police priorities for the next three months. Residents will also have chance to hear about the District Council’s recycling arrangments and to ask questions of District Council officers.
An informal surgery will take place prior to the Community Forum at 6.30pm where residents can drop in to see their councillors, council staff and the police if they wish to discuss any individual or confidential issues.
Community Forums are interactive events which give residents chance to learn about issues big and small affecting their area, get answers to questions and influence local decision-making. Anyone with a question about a local issue can go along and put it to officers from a range of organisations.
Flooding was the main issue debated at the last Shipston and Stour Community Forum in February when residents had their chance to quiz senior representatives from the Environment Agency on problems they have experienced over the past few years.
