Rugby residents get their say tonight
An update on the Rugby Western Relief Road, parking schemes, youth services and more will be on the agenda at tonight’s meeting of the Brownsover, Benn & Newbold Community Forum.
The Forum will be held at Newbold Riverside Primary School from 6.30pm.
The meeting is open to all residents in the Brownsover North and South, Benn and Newbold wards of Rugby.
Community Forums are regular public meetings that allow you to raise issues or local concerns and are a way of keeping you up-to-date with what is happening in YOUR community.
From 6.30pm, residents will be able to talk to Councillors, council staff and the police about any individual or confidential issues they may have at an informal surgery, before the Forum meeting starts at 7pm.
Local people will be able to have their say on the top priorities that their Safer Neighbourhood Team should focus their efforts on in the local area over the next few months.
Residents will also be able to find out updates on local developments including the new college, cattle market site and Gateway development.
There are 30 Community Forums across Warwickshire and local residents are encouraged to go along and have their say on any local issues, as well as set local priorities. Upcoming Community Forum meetings in Rugby borough are:
Tuesday 15 June – Fosse Community Forum – 7pm onwards – Pailton Village Hall
Tuesday 29 June – Eastlands & Hillmorton – 6.30pm onwards – LMRCA (Rugby Railway Club), Hillmorton Road
The next Brownsover, Benn & Newbold Community Forum meeting will take place in September. For details of all Community Forums in Rugby see http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/rugbyarea.
