Firefighters tackle conference centre blaze in Rugby
Around fifty firefighters are tackling a blaze at the Royal Mail Coton House Conference and Management Centre in Rugby (Tuesday).
Crews were alerted at 07.31 this morning and on arrival were faced with a well-developed fire on the first floor and roof space of the two story building just off Leicester Road.
Twelve appliances are in attendance from stations across the county with support from neighbouring crews in Binley and Daventry.
Ade Mallaban, Incident Commander for Warwickshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service, said: “Crews are making good progress at the scene with the fire now under control.
“It is likely that we will be in attendance for the rest of the day while we damp down and investigate the cause of the fire. “
