Summer fun at Kingsbury’s Outdoor Education Centre
Climbing, Kayaking, Windsurfing and Canoeing are just some of the activities on offer to young people this summer at Kingsbury Water Park’s Outdoor Education Centre.
Managed by Warwickshire County Council, the summer activity programme is available to 8 to 15-year-olds on weekdays between 10am and 3pm, from Monday 2 August to Friday 3 September 2010.
Activities, which are organised and supervised by fully trained staff, are priced at £22 per day, or £100 for the full week if paid in advance on the first day.
The programme includes Climbing or Kayaking on Mondays; Archery or Sailing on Tuesdays; Windsurfing or Off Road Cycling on Wednesdays, Treasure Hunt Orienteering or Canoeing on Thursdays; and Improvised Rafting or It’s a Knockout Team Challenge on Fridays.
Neil Wilson, Outdoor Education Co-ordinator for Warwickshire County Council’s Youth and Community Service, said: “The summer activity programme is a great way for young people to try something they may not otherwise have the opportunity to do.
“While they are learning new skills, they can also make new friends and have fun in a safe and supervised environment.”
