Studley Library's star performers

Studley Library has three star performers who have won national WOW! awards for excellent customer service.

The threesome - Paula Marlow, Nicola Purslow and Holly Kilminster - received their winners’ certificates from Linda Smith, Warwickshire County Council’s Head of Libraries (Operations), at Studley Library in High Street on Tuesday July 6.

A customer nominated “the Ladies of Studley Library” back in March, saying: "They are always very pleasant and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble to help us with any questions or searches for books. It is a pleasure to visit the library."

Tanya Butchers, Divisional Library Manager (South) for Warwickshire County Council, said: “The national WOW! awards for customer service really count because the nominations, for staff who go the extra mile, come from customers themselves. I am delighted that Paula, Nicola and Holly have won. They really are stars.”

Linda Smith, Head of Libraries (Operations), added her congratulations to the three WOW! winners for their well-deserved success.

Studley is one of 34 Warwickshire County Council libraries. The authority also has a fleet of high-tech mobile libraries, with onboard public internet access, and an ever-growing online library service accessible to members 24/7.

“Our libraries still offer all the traditional lending and information services you would expect but, nowadays, a lot more besides,” said Linda. “If people haven’t visited a Warwickshire library lately, in person or online, they might be surprised Library membership is free and opens up a whole world of opportunities.”

She added: “There are all kinds of events and activities on offer across the library network, from Rhyme Time sessions for pre-school children to reading groups and author visits.”
