One to One Tuition equals success
Warwickshire County Council is launching a rolling recruitment drive for One to One Tutors in support of the National One to One Tuition scheme offering pupils aged 7 – 16 years individual support in Maths and English.
Designed for pupils who would benefit the most, it complements classroom teaching by addressing barriers to learning that are personal and particular to each child. Eligible pupils will profit from ten hour-long sessions, which can take place in or out of school, outside of lesson time allow individual support.
The scheme is highly flexible and allows tutors to decide how many pupils to support, and when and where to give tuition and will get paid a typical rate of £25 per hour for 12 hours per pupil – 10 hours tuition and two hours planning and liaison time with the pupil’s teacher. Tuition training will be offered.
