Public transport in Warwick district
Senior citizens and residents with mobility problems can have their say on the types of transport available in their area in a questionnaire from Warwick District Council.
The District Council is currently looking into the types of transport available for both senior citizens and residents with mobility problems, where normal public transport is unsuitable to meet their changing travel needs.
The questionnaire, which is completely anonymous, asks residents whether they have personal or family transport and, if not, whether they use public transport, how often they use it and how they pay for it.
It asks specifically about bus services and community transport, and what improvements can be made to public transport in Warwick district.
Cllr Michael Doody, Leader of Warwick District Council, said: “This survey provides senior citizens living in the district and residents with mobility problems with an opportunity to tell us exactly what they think about current public transport provision and what we can do to improve it to meet their needs. I encourage people to share their views so we can make provision better where we need to. I look forward to getting a good response.”
The questionnaire is available to complete online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RDHFVL3. Printed copies are also available from the Warwickshire Direct One Stop Shops in Lillington, Warwick, Kenilworth and Whitnash and also at the main council offices in Leamington and Leamington Town Hall.
The closing date for returning questionnaires is Tuesday 31st August 2010.
