Top cycle race opportunities for sponsors
Warwick Cycle Races is offering businesses the chance to sponsor a race taking place on Sunday 5 September.
Warwick Cycle Races is a high profile sporting event to raise the profile of cycling in the region and encourage people to get out and enjoy cycling.
Warwickshire County Council is working in partnership with British Cycling to host the event which offers a great sponsorship opportunity to raise the profile of local businesses and their support for community events.
Sponsors can choose a race to sponsor with this information on the website and in the programme. They can display banners on the race circuit and depending upon their contribution can also have an advertisement in the programme, start and present race prizes and have their logo included in a promotional video.
Laura Vesty, Sustainable Travel Officer at Warwickshire County Council, said: “We have already had some great sponsorship and support from TravelWise, Carillion, Telent and Hinckley and South Wigston Cycle Centre. All of the funds we raise are used to put on the actual cycle races and make it happen. Without sponsorship the event cannot take place.”
This year the event is set to have more activities and visitors than ever. There’s a whole host of stalls and family activities at the event including unicycling, juggling, children’s rides, facepainting, balloon making and people can pedal their own smoothie on the ‘Blendavenda’.
The event starts at 11am with the National ‘A’ race for elite cyclists being the finale from 5pm to 6pm. Visitors can attend any time of day and the event is completely free.
Local businesses could also just have a stall at the event for £50 and are free to sell food and drink or goods on the day.
