Summer activities in Warwick district

When it comes to children’s activities, there’s a whole host of things going on over the summer around Warwick district, from roller discos to basketball camps to art clubs - and so much more.

Warwick District Council’s leisure centres, swimming pools and parks, together with the Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, have a big programme of sports and arts activities going on.

There are even sessions at village halls and community centres around the district, where children can win certificates and medals for taking part!

The following venues are offering a selection of sports, swimming and crafts activities, running on weekdays and weekends:

• St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre, Warwick
• Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, Leamington Spa
• Abbey Fields Swimming Pool, Kenilworth
• John Atkinson Sports Centre, Warwick
• Castle Farm Recreation Centre, Kenilworth

There are ‘Sports Zone’ Sports Play and Multi Sports sessions taking place at venues including:

• Acre Close Community Centre, Whitnash
• Hatton Park Village Hall
• Lapworth Village Hall
• Weston Village Hall, Weston Under Wetherley
• Cubbington Village Hall
• Warwick Gates Community Centre
• SYDNI Centre, Leamington Spa
• The GAP Community Centre, Warwick

Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, at the Royal Pump Rooms, are hosting some fantastic free family art activities throughout August, with a weekly Summer Art Club throughout August and a Children’s Art Competition on Saturday 7 August.

And on Tuesday 24 August, St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre in Warwick will host the Summer Games, including a Fun Swim, for children aged 8 to 11 years old.
