Here comes summer- North Warwickshire brimful of activities for young people

Warwickshire County Council’s Extended Services team is urging young people and families in North Warwickshire to get involved in the huge range of activities on offer this summer.

Along with partners at North Warwickshire Borough Council, the Extended Services team is helping to provide a huge range of activities at venues across the borough.

Cluster co-ordinators have consulted children and families across North Warwickshire to determine what kind of out of school activities they want and this has formed the basis of their strategy in providing options over the long summer holiday.

Across North Warwickshire, the cluster co-ordinators have arranged venues and tutors or teachers whilst borough council staff are also offering a full range of sports activities such as football or swimming, along with fun sessions for toddlers, at leisure centres.

Acting, singing, dancing, photography, smoothie making, circus skills are all among the activities that young people and their families can try their hands at as well as

Councillor Heather Timms, portfolio holder for Children, Young People and Families, said:  “I am delighted to see that there are so many different options for people in North Warwickshire area this summer. 

"Thanks to Extended Services, North Warwickshire Borough Council and various other partners, there is something throughout the area and, with so many activities being free, they are inclusive for all families.”
