Youth Justice Service help brothers
Warwickshire’s Youth Justice Service has helped put the smile back on the faces of two young boys, whose bikes were stolen last year.
Seven-year-old Ali and three-year-old Zain from Rugby were upset when their favourite toys were taken from their garden.
So, the Youth Justice Service stepped in to offer the brothers new bikes which have been donated from their bike project.
The project is part of the Reparation Directory where young people on Reparation Orders repair used bicycles donated to the service, for the benefit of the community.
Heather Shilling, Operations Manager for Warwickshire’s Youth Justice Service, said: “It is really heartening to know that young people involved with the project have done something positive for the community and helped put the smiles back on the faces of these two boys.
“The project also helps young people working with the Youth Justice Service learn new skills such as repairs and maintenance as well as road safety, so it has benefits for everyone.”
