Come along and enjoy some summer fun!
Firefighters from Nuneaton are inviting residents to come along and join in the fun at their annual fire station open day.
The event, which is being run by Warwickshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service, will run from 10am to 4pm, Nuneaton Fire Station, Newtown Road on Saturday 4th September. The aim of the day is to help your local firefighters to raise money for The Firefighter’s Charity.
Those attending will be able to see and take part in a wide range of activities including rides around the town in a converted fire engine courtesy of Coventry Hire Brigade, mini train ride, inflatable obstacle course, hair braiding, mini massage, henna tattoos, road traffic collision and chip pan fire demonstration, face painting and first aid workshops by St John’s Ambulance. Other activities include street dance, Choy Lee Fut Lion Dance Team, a display from Gemini Cheerleaders, dog show, Guide Dogs for the Blind, martial arts demo and two Debenhams fashion shows, plus many more fun, craft and charity stalls.
Throughout the day food and refreshments will be available from the BBQ, café or beer garden.

“This is an event that has been run for over 20 years now and it is always very well attended by residents from the local community. We are hoping that this year will be just as successful and with a bit of luck we might actually get to see some of that summer sun.
“It is a great day for all of the family to enjoy, so please come along and join in the community event for people of all ages to enjoy!”
