Leamington Library to shut for improvements
Leamington Library will be closing at 5 pm on Wednesday 8th September and reopening again at 9.30 am on Thursday 16 September 2010.
This will enable the library to undergo a series of improvements including a larger children’s area giving 0-12 year olds (and parents and carers too) more space to relax enjoy the books. The local studies, large print and audio books sections are also being revamped.
Customers will also be able to borrow, return and renew books using the new state-of-the-art self service machines. They will even be able to pay any fines due at the same time.
There will also be a new layout introduced to enable lap top users to take advantage of the soon to be installed free wi-fi in the library.
Tracey Baker, Divisional Library Manager for Warwickshire County Council, said:
”We are very excited about the proposed new look for Leamington Library. We hope that all everyone will appreciate that we need to close for this short period to enable all this to happen and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
“Customers can borrow or return library items at any Warwickshire library and renewals can be done on the phone, by email or online 24 hours a day but we will also have a drop off box available outside the library”
Renewals can be made via our automated 24/7 renewal line, available 24 hours a day - call 01926 499273 or by email to any of the larger libraries or online at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/libraries
