Find out how you rate your country parks

Warwickshire County Council’s County Parks is always keen to find out what visitors think of the services they provide.

The county council has recently conducted a survey through its 1,000-strong Citizen’s Panel to gauge public opinion, and the results revealed that Sundays are the most popular day for visits to Warwickshire’s nine country parks.

Pooley County Park in North Warwickshire receives the most number of repeat visitors at 51 per cent, while the highest percentage of total visitors was at Kingsbury Water Park where 43 per cent said they visited between one and five times a year. Pooley also received the highest rating for its facilities and staff, with 82 per cent of people saying it was good or very good.

To see the full results of the survey, visit the website at http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks within the next month.

In addition, both Kingsbury Water Park and Ryton Pools Country Park have signed up to the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS). This service offers a consumer focused quality assessment which will help to identify strengths and highlight developmental areas.

Paula Cheesman, Warwickshire County Council’s Visitor Manager, said: “We know that from our own surveys our customers are satisfied with their experience of Country Parks, but this scheme is a great way for us to look for ways to improve our service as well as promote ourselves on a wider scale.”
