Hear debate on Fairer Charging

Warwickshire County Council invites people from Nuneaton and Bedworth to their Area Committee to hear the presentation and debate on fairer charging for adult care.

The meeting takes place on Monday 13th September at 6.00pm at The Eliot Park Innovation Centre, Barling Way (near George Eliot Hospital). There is free parking and tea and coffee will be available.

There will be chance to hear the presentation, ask questions and then listen to the debate.

This special Area Committee will host a presentation from Warwickshire County Council Adult Services to inform them about the consultation on fairer charging proposals.

The consultation, which was launched in June, ends on September 17. Four public meetings have already been held in the Nuneaton area and 6,400 service users across the county have been written to about the plans.

The Chair of the Area Committee, County Councillor Julie Jackson, said: ”I do hope people take the chance to come along and ask questions and give their thoughts; the views of local people are really what we need.  If anyone needs assistance in getting to the meeting please contact Warwickshire County Council’s Area Office on 024 76375700.”
