10th Anniversary – A New look for Rugby Library
Rugby Library has received a makeover and is now fully open again.
On Tuesday 21 September at 3.00pm the library will be officially ‘opened’ by the Leader of Warwickshire Council, Councillor Alan Farnell and David Carter, Strategic Director, Customers Workforce and Governance for Warwickshire County Council.
The library has undergone a series of improvements including an extended mezzanine floor providing additional space for customers with new picture window overlooking the Percival Guildhouse Gardens.
This area has also been decorated and has new furniture and carpet fitted. Wifi provision is also in place for a ‘go live’ launch in the near future.
The Local Studies area has been put in with new, soft seating and furniture to enable the comfortable use of laptops.
Downstairs, four new self service machines have been installed. A new carpet
has been fitted at the front of the building along with additional tables to provide more individual workspace. A new teenage area has been created with funky seating and new shelving.
HM Revenue and Customs Service (HMRC) are also now delivering their service in the library and are available to help with your tax enquiries.
Corinne Harvey, Divisional Library Manager - East, said: “We are delighted at the new look for Rugby Library. We have managed to remain open and maintain our service to customers with the exception of one day in July and are sure that customers old and new will appreciate the new facilities.”
