Matilda brought to life at Polesworth Library
Royal Shakespeare Company actress, Sarah Melling, brought the story of Matilda alive for children at Polesworth Library.
A musical version of Roald Dahl’s tale will be the RSC’s Christmas production in Stratford this year, so this was a wonderful opportunity to bring Matilda’s story to the other end of the county.
Thirty children joined in the storytelling workshop which encouraged the children to take on the parts of the characters.
Stella Thebridge, Senior Librarian, Senior Librarian for children, young people and families said: “It is fantastic to see so many children taking part and clearly enjoying themselves. The feedback from children and parents was brilliant and everyone had a wonderful time.”
