Fantastic Fun is on its way!

Warwickshire Libraries' Fantastic Fun With Words festival is nearly here!

It will be launched on Sat 16 October by storyteller-with-a-drum Clive Cole, who will be driven to each of the 19 libraries across North Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth and Rugby districts, starting at Coleshill at 9am and finishing at Rugby at 3.30pm!

Come and hear him do a very quick story at your local library before he rushes on to the next one!

From Monday 18 to Friday 22 October, schools will be coming in to sessions with local authors in the libraries - over 30 have signed up to this which is a fantastic response.

In half-term there will be sessions for the whole family with professional authors and storytellers.  What’s more, these are FREE of charge!

We also have a readers’ evening for the adults to enjoy at Rugby Library with two local writers - Judith Allnatt and Sam Hayes. And poet Dave Reeves will be ‘on the buses’ again, well, on the mobile library out of Bedworth, meeting users on Wed 27 October!

Stella Thebridge, Senior Librarian for children young people and families for Warwickshire Libraries said: "This is the third year we have received funding from the Arts Council to bring families and writers together to engage with reading and writing in a fun way and learn without realising it!

“The mix of school group sessions and general events for adults and whole families in half-term enables as many as possible to benefit from the experience and expertise of a large number of authors from the West Midlands region.  We hope families will enjoy these high quality sessions on their doorstep."
