Local Children’s Poems and Posters Highlight Firework Safety
North Warwickshire borough children are invited to take part in this year’s Warwickshire County Council’s Trading Standards Firework Safety ‘Poem and Poster’ Competition.
The aim of the competition is to remind children about the dangers of fireworks. Every year fireworks cause hundreds of avoidable injuries.
This year there are two categories. Children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 are invited to create a firework safety poster and children in Years 3 to 6 a firework poem or rhyme.
One winner from each age group will be chosen and will receive a prize of a £10 book token. There will be 10 winners in all, two from each District or Borough.
Children can enter as many times as they wish but must write their name, age, and school, on the back of their posters. All entries must be on A4 paper.
