Warwick Rural West villagers have say

How the Community Payback scheme could work in our communities, the awarding of grants to local groups and more will be on the agenda at the next meeting of the Warwick Rural West Community Forum on Thursday 28 October.

The Forum will be held at Shire Hall Committee Room 2 from 7.30pm.

The meeting is open to all residents living in and around the villages to the west of Warwick and will be Chaired by Warwickshire County and Warwick District Councillor Les Caborn.

Community Forums are regular public meetings that allow you to raise issues or local concerns and are a way of keeping you up-to-date with what is happening in YOUR community.

Local people will be able to have their say on the top priorities that the Warwick Rural West Safer Neighbourhood Team should focus their efforts on in the local area over the next few months.

The Team plays a central role in the Community Forum, attending every meeting, both to talk about their work over the previous three months and to gauge concerns from local people.

Dave Adams from Warwickshire Probation will be sharing information on the Community Payback scheme and residents will have the opportunity to ask questions. Councillor Richard Hobbs will also be giving an update on the Warwickshire Police Authority.

Residents at the meeting will also be able to influence which local groups and projects receive funding from the Forum Grant Fund. The Community Forum holds a pot of money to support local projects and tackle issues raised as priorities in Warwick Rural West.
