A Contemporary Craft Fair in Warwick will be a great opportunity for gift-hunters this Christmas who can look for unique handcrafted presents in festive and historical surroundings.

Warwickshire County Council’s Heritage Education team have organised the event which takes place 12pm—4pm on Sunday 12 December at St John’s Museum and upstairs at the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Royal Warwickshire) Museum.

Amongst the items available for sale will be: beaded jewellery, ceramics, oil paintings, photographic art, gift hampers, textile art, lamps, journals, handmade cards, limited-edition prints, handmade felt fashion, agate jewellery and much, much more.

Laura Pye, Head of Heritage Education said: “Anyone who is looking for a special gift in Warwick this Christmas should make sure to come down to the craft fair at St John’s Museum. As well as lots of handmade crafts, there will be Victorian music and song from trio ‘Lady Georgiana’ and plenty of festive spirit in the historic surroundings of the museum.”

Entrance fee is £1 for adults and under 16s go free. Refreshments will be available to purchase.

The event is part of Heritage Education’s year-round ‘Outlook’ programme of events for adults, which includes a range of friendly and informative talks, walks, workshops that celebrate and share Warwickshire’s rich history. ‘Outlook’ leaflets can be found in all libraries and Tourist Information Centres around the county, or you can join the mailing list by contacting Heritage Education direct on 01926 412069.
