A double programme of free fun festivities will lead up to the grand ‘switch on’ of Kenilworth’s Christmas lights on Friday 26th November and Friday 3rd December 2010.
The town’s streets will take on a twinkly, magical feel at the two events, which are sure to get local families in the mood for Christmas.
On Friday 26th November, around Talisman Square and Warwick Road, there will be the traditional stage show provided by Mercia, charity stalls, children’s fairground rides, street entertainers and that all important appearance by Father Christmas.
There will then be the traditional countdown to the light switch on at 7pm.
On Friday 3rd December, there will be another chance to join the fun in the High Street for the countdown to the light switch on, which takes place at 6pm.
The Christmas lights are switched on across all towns in Warwick district during November and December. Other switch on events take place in Leamington Spa on Sunday 21st November; Warwick on Thursday 25th November; and Whitnash on Sunday 5th December.
