Hair-raising events raise over £700!
Generous – and brave! - council staff at Bedworth’s King’s House raised over £700 for Children in Need last week – with the majority being raised by one courageous employee who agreed to have HIS legs waxed for the charity!
Ajay Rana, a ‘Warwickshire Direct’ Customer Service Advisor based at King’s House ‘volunteered’ to have the hair stripped from both his legs if his colleagues made donations to Children in Need.
His bravery paid off, as he ended up raising over £550 towards the grand total of over £700 that King’s House staff from Warwickshire County Council and Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council managed to raise last week.
Ajay said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all Kings House users for their kind donations and ongoing support during Children In Need; this never would have been possible without you!”
