Festive fun in Camp Hill

Nuneaton residents of all ages are being invited to take part in some festive fun at the CHESS centre in Camp Hill next month.

Warwickshire County Council’s Youth and Community Service has organised a free event at the Cedar Road centre on Monday 13 December from 4pm to 6.30pm.

Along side the usual festivities, there will be a ‘Santa Drive’ which encourages teams to take part in a range of activities in return for a number of Father Christmas-related items. Once they’ve collected all the items, teams will be entered in to a raffle with the chance to win one of a number of donated prizes.

Activities include hula hooping, a quiz, wii ski jump challenge, colouring competition, prize bingo and a visit from Oaston Road Wildlife Sanctuary who will be bringing some of their animals.

Visitors will also be able to try their hand at making a smoothie - with a pedal powered whisk; take part in a mini health test; and enjoy free hot and cold refreshments.

Santa will be making a special guest appearance in his grotto.

Rachel Daniel, CHESS Centre Manager, said: “We hope our Santa Drive gets the whole community in to the festive spirit early while giving them the opportunity to do something they may not otherwise have the chance to do.”
