Community gets the keys to Seven Meadows

Residents have formed their own community group to help manage the Seven Meadows car park in Stratford-upon-Avon.

From next Monday (December 20) the residents, with the support of Warwickshire County Council, will begin a rota to lock and unlock the car park at the beginning and end of each day.

The group will take on the responsibility for an initial three month trial period and will then meet county council officers to review the arrangements.

In addition to maintaining the rota, the community group will help keep the car park litter free, monitor the car park for any issues that may arise and assist members of the public to enjoy their visit.

The Seven Meadows car park provides access to the popular Stratford Greenway, a five mile former railway line developed for cyclists, walkers and horseriders.
