MAKE RECYCLING GREEN WASTE YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION!
December is the time of year when people look forward as well as back, so the county council’s Home Wood Chipping Service has revealed how much green waste has been recycled and what residents can do to improve next year.
The people of Warwickshire produce 65,115 tonnes of green waste a year – and a growing percentage, 24.6 per cent, of this is recycled into compost.
Warwickshire residents can use the county council’s Home Wood Chipping Service to increase the amount recycled. The Home Wood Chipping Service will turn up to your door and chip/shred prunings and woody material from15mm to 125mm diameter (5”). The chippings are left in bags for the householder to use as a garden mulch, weed suppressant or informal path covering.
The cost of this service is usually just £20 per hour, depending on the amount of material. To make a booking or obtain further details please call 01926 738827 between 9 to 12-15pm. You can leave a message at other times.
