Christmas arrives early for residents in need
Older and vulnerable people from Nuneaton and Bedworth are set to benefit from an exciting delivery this Christmas, thanks to local branches of the Round Table.
Staff from Warwickshire County Council’s Older People and Physical Disability Team met fundraisers from Nuneaton and Bedworth’s Round Table at Nuneaton Asda store to receive a consignment of more than 40 Christmas food parcels for those who are in need over Christmas.
Sera Bailey, Team Manager from the Nuneaton and Bedworth Older People and Physical Disability Team, said: “The parcels, worth £50 each, are set to transform Christmas for people in our community who face severe hardship. We are so grateful to Nuneaton and Bedworth’s Round Table for their generosity and for considering those who often feel forgotten over the festive season.”
The Older People and Physical Disability Team, which is part of Warwickshire County Council’s Adult Social Care division, helps some of the most vulnerable adults in the local community.
