Tree maintenance scheduled for Shipston-on-Stour
Tree specialists are to carry out essential maintenance on Horse Chestnut trees that form ‘The Plantation’ at the junction of Telegraph Street and Church Street in Shipston-on-Stour later this month.
The work, to be carried out by Warwickshire County Council’s Forestry Section, follows the steady decline in health that these four trees have shown. Deadwood will be removed and the trees will be reduced back to live growth. Some lower branches will be removed to ensure adequate clearance over the carriageway and bus stop.
This pruning work has been deemed necessary in view of public safety and is scheduled for the end of January. This will ensure the condition of these trees remain safe and will address any issues with low branches.
