Red Box Lottery – paper recycling
Residents in the Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and North Warwickshire Borough Council areas have a chance to win £50 by simply recycling!
The Red Box Lottery is running throughout January, so make sure you put your recycling out every collection to be in with a chance of winning.
North Warwickshire’s recent lucky winner was Daniel Kirby from Kingsbury, who selected £50 Love2shop vouchers.
Daniel said: "It was such a surprise when I got home from work to find I had won £50 in the Red Box Lottery! We find the new recycling service really easy to use and we are now recycling a lot more.”
Nuneaton and Bedworth’s lucky winner was Mrs Vann from Duke Street, Nuneaton.
Mrs Vann said: “I recycle avidly and always separate every bit of waste into the appropriate container as I think it is important, and it frustrates me when I see people putting materials in their waste bin which should get recycled.
“It was a nice surprise when I saw the letter saying I had won and I will be taking a trip to Debenhams with my vouchers this weekend!”
Councillor Bill Sheppard, portfolio holder for the Environment at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said: “Congratulations to our fifth red box lottery winner, Mrs Vann. Recycling is one way we can all do our bit to help the environment, so thank you to those who continue to support the scheme. The red box lottery runs until the end of January so remember to put your recycling out each week for a chance to win a £50 voucher!”
