Residents to get feedback from youth forum tonight
Residents in South Leamington will get to hear feedback on the concerns and issues of local young people at the next meeting of the South Leamington Community Forum tonight (Thursday 17 February).
The Forum will be held at The Healthy Living Centre, Shrubland Street, Leamington Spa from 5.45pm.
As well as getting feedback from the Youth Forum, who met in January to discuss how their concerns could be addressed by working together, residents will be able to find out what the Community Forum has done for the community so far and play a part in influencing what it does in 2011.
There will be a ‘market place’ of themed stands where residents can discuss issues of importance to them and the community, covering topics such as health, jobs, community safety, young and older people.
Residents can also say what they want the Forum to focus on in the year ahead and where to spend its money in South Leamington.
Local people will receive an update on the future of policing in Leamington with a presentation on the New Policing Model for Warwickshire and how the restructuring of policing will impact locally. T
here will also be an update on progress made on the priorities that were set for the police at the October Forum from the South Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team.
The Community Forum meeting is open to all residents living in South Leamington and will be chaired by Warwick District Councillor Alan Wilkinson.
Community Forums are regular public meetings that allow you to raise issues or local concerns and are a way of keeping you up-to-date with what is happening in YOUR community.
