Parents and young children Forum focus
Are you a parent of a child aged 0 - 8? If so, Whitnash Community Forum wants your views!
The next Whitnash Community Forum is being held on Wednesday 9th March between 12.30pm and 2.30pm at the Acre Close Community Centre.
The focus of the meeting will be on children aged 0 - 8 and their parents. If you are a parent of a young child and are facing difficult times, the Forum is inviting you to come and talk to them to see how they can help you.
The Forum won’t just be an opportunity for parents to have their say about what makes them sad, mad, and glad about life in Whitnash – there will also be an opportunity for parents to talk to staff from local agencies and groups about issues of interest.
The Family Information Service will be there with information on all sorts of local opportunities for children and Warwick District Council Housing team will be there to talk to parents about any problems they may be having with tenancies. The Forum also hopes to have a benefits specialist present who can advise parents about what they can apply for.
The Forum has changed its regular evening slot in acknowledgement of the childcare issues that many parents, especially those living alone, face.
The Community Forum meeting is open to all residents living in Whitnash. Community Forums are regular public meetings that allow you to raise issues or local concerns and are a way of keeping you up-to-date with what is happening in YOUR community.
