EASTER CYCLE TRAINING COURSES
With the better weather just around the corner, parents and children will soon be looking to dust off their bikes to enjoy cycling for pleasure as well as for a healthy and sustainable alternative to the car for travelling to and from school.
Warwickshire County Council’s Road Safety team are offering children the opportunity to learn valuable cycling skills over the Easter holiday. Courses are available throughout the county with Rugby area courses taking place at the new Warwickshire College, Rugby.
For those aged 9 years and over (in Y5 or above) a Bikeability Level 2 course is running Tuesday to Thursday 19, 20 & 21 April from 11.00 – 1.00 pm. This course is conducted on the road and includes an assessment and costs £25 per pupil. Younger/new cyclists aged 7 and over can take part in a Bikeability Level 1 course on Tuesday and Wednesday 19 & 20 April from 9.00 – 10.30 at £15 per pupil.
Pupils successfully completing the course will receive a certificate and badge. For further information, or to book a place, contact Mary Holliday on 01926 412776 or go to http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/roadsafety
