Families can keep up to date with information about school closures in a number of ways.

Parents can sign up for text and email alerts at the Warwickshire County Council website, http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures. The free text message service automatically sends a message to all users of the service when schools have had to close. It takes just a couple of minutes to sign up online and up to three schools can be selected by each user.

Subscription to the service expires at the end of the summer term each year, so parents and carers need to sign up at the start of each academic year to continue receiving updates.

Parents can now follow tweets from @wccschoolclosed (sign up online at twitter.com/wccschoolclosed) or tune in to their local radio station which will also broadcast details if schools have to close.
