Warwickshire and Coventry join forces for new £100m highways contract
Today marks the beginning of an innovative new contract – the first of its kind in the Midlands – to maintain Warwickshire and Coventry’s roads.
Balfour Beatty has been awarded the prestigious £100 million five-year highway maintenance contract by Warwickshire County Council in partnership with Coventry City Council.
It is the first time in the region that highways work will be delivered by one provider across two local authorities.
The contract has been officially launched at a ceremony with senior representatives from Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City Council and Balfour Beatty in Warwick.
